Swank Review
Date: January 20th, 2007
Score: Full 3/5
Niche: Classic Magazine
Main Draw: Swank is a familiar name to many people. The magazine quality photos and hot hardcore movies are sure to catch your interest, along with an extensive and exclusive site network.
Design: This is a simple, classic design that presents all of the site areas to you easily.
Navigation: The majority of the navigation is handled by a menu bar at the top of the site. Photo sets have normal gallery navigation, along with a variable speed slideshow option.
Pictures: The size of the sets varies greatly, from as low as 20 pics to as massive as 400. There are 1,140 picture sets total, so this is one rather extensive collection of glamor style photos. There is a small watermark on these, but it doesn't get in the way of the action.
Movies: The quality of the movies is incredibly high, although the camera was a bit more shaky than I'd have thought for a Swank production. There are 189 exclusive hardcore movies featuring the lovely Swank models. Some of the movies have photo galleries to go along with them (these are full quality shoots, not screncaps) and you get a link right to them if so.
Speed The sit wasn't just speedy, it was super speedy!
Originality Swank Online has been around since 2001, so they have a lot of great magazine glamor shoots and sexy hardcore pics.
Overall Ease of Use A search function would be nice, but otherwise the site was easy to use.
Updates The site is updated regularly every couple of days.
Extras: You get access to the entire network of Swank sites. This includes Velvet Mag, Gent, Just 18, Leg Action, Dcup, and Genesis. Each network site can be accessed via a sidebar, and they all have their own exclusive content. You also get fairly standard offerings of Hustler and Vivid video feed, along with Candid Cams and a whole mess of additional third party plugins.
Annoyances The sections that have more than 20 sets have the page navigation on the sidebar (instead of the bottom where I normally look for it). This made me miss the extra sets the first few times through.
Annoyances: I would have liked to have seen the actual magazines from years past, such as other magazine sites offer. Search options would also have been a very nice feature to have. I also had one hell of a problem getting most of the third party plugins to work. While I understand that these are typically just filler content for the site, it would be nice for it to work. I had an absolute ton of errors trying to bring up most of the plugins.
Is It Worth it? The content is nice and exclusive, plus you get a whole whack of bonus sites. It lacks some personality that I've seen in similar sites in this niche though. Don't get me wrong, the content is great – but there isn't a spark here to make me want to stick around. There's no behind the scenes info, no decent descriptions for sets, etc etc – the kind of thing that makes me like to go to classic magazine sites.
