Niche: Vintage and retro porn
Main Draw: This is an extensive collection of vintage porn movies and pictures from the extensive vaults of GMI Films along with collections from other sources. The site is fairly new, but growing steadily.
Design: A nice, simple vintage theme that's easy on the eyes.
Navigation: Navigation is handled via a top menu with a few main sections: Photo section, Hot DVD Movies, and Stag Films. You are greeted by the Newest Updates (with direct links) and the Upcoming Section which shows you what to expect in the next few updates.
Pictures: There are 168 sets currently on the site. Since the last update, they have switched over to mostly vidcap sets - burying their good stuff deep inside the archives. This section also is not updating that often - months go between the picture sets. They cover a wide range of years, starting from the 1800s and going all the way up to the 80s. Each gallery has 20 pics per page, with an average of 100 pics per set (of varying quality). There's interesting trivia and intro information for many of the sets. That's a great way to dive deeper into learning about vintage porn. You can also download the full sets in zip format. There's a small unobtrusive watermark in the corner of each picture.
Movies: There are 250 full length dvd movies that range from 5 minutes to an hour. You have both streaming and download options, along with a flash version of the movies. The video quality could be a lot better - it's poor compared to other vintage sites. The latest sets also have a distinct lack of description, so you have no idea what stars are appearing.
There is no option to download the full movie, you are going to need to grab the clips one by one. All of the videos look to be in WMV format.
Speed The download speed could be a bit better, but overall the site is very responsive.
Originality A lot of the footage here comes straight from the Historic Erotica / GMI Films collection. I did see content from other collections here and there, but much of it is new vintage porn to my eyes.
Overall Ease of Use Other than the random issues that I seem to be having with movies and firefox lately, the site is very easy to use.
Updates The site updates are shown on the main member's area page, with updates once a week.
Extras: Other than the vintage porn trivia and intros, the site focuses on the content itself.
Annoyances Some of the newer photo galleries don't have great descriptions (stuff like vintage 1 etc) which is out of place with the very knowledgeable information on other entries.
Is It Worth it? With the first review we did, Good Old XXX was worth it. However, with new competition with much better organization and video quality, you'd be better off passing them by for right now.
